Hi ,
Our MQ host server has been migrated to a new hardware. Now they have copied the entire filesystem to the new hardware. It looks some of the system files have not been copied properly.
Now if we re-install MQ will the OLD mq configuration still be available.I dont want to re-createeverything. iF I AM CORRECT WE WILL NOT LOSE THE MQ objects right??

Raj,
Not sure what OS you're talking about but I'll assume Unix.
The software is installed into /usr/mqm or /opt/mqm and the queue manager(s) live in /var/mqm so they are almost independant.
I've done dozens of MQ upgrades by removing and re-installing the software so I can say that on one box you would be fine.
If you're trying to move to another, I'd install the sofware on the new one. shutdown MQ on the old and tar up the /var/mqm/ filesystem and restore it on the new one. That might work best.
I'd really recommend that you have a process for re-creating the objects in any case. If you run MQ long enough on enough Unix boxes then you'll probably run into a situation where that's the best course forward. If you can do it quickly and get your client back up you'll look like a star. If not, well... maybe they'll be looking for somebody who can.
