I came across a setup in which
There are two instances of the same RCVR channel
and the corresponding SDR chls are from diff qmgrs (same config and name) i.e PROD and DR qmgrs.
I dont think its an issue as always communication is started by the SDR chl. But is there anything else I need to lookat/possible problems..
Whats the logic behind it? |

From the recieving QMs perspective, MQ working as designed. No problems.
Except how are you going to send a message to one of these QMs (prod or dr) if you named them both the same??? A message is trying to get to QM1 from this QM, and there are 2 paths to QM1, the dr one and the prod one. Which one is it going to take?
Hooking up to QMs with the same name to a 3rd QM is technically possible, but confusing, and sooner or later will cause you problems, if it hasn't already.
If the messages are one way only (originating QM1), then maybe you will be OK, but this is not a good design looking forward.
