I have set a workItem with an expiration time of 2 minutes....but it dosent seem to be ending........

it is running a get message from queue kind of java application....the program waits on the queue forever.....

When i put a message even after 10 minutes the process continues....

Do i need to make any other settings ???? or is it that the workItem must be in ready state(not running any application) to end ????

Kindly help..........

Please read some basic MQWF documentation.

I would guess that either your Scheduling server is not running, or you have not waited through the NotificationCheckInterval
