I have two questions on expiry and notification for a UPES task:

1. Can we set an expiry for a UPES task? One of the IBM technotes mention it is possible to do so and Workflow sends out a message to the UPES when the task expires. I am curious to find out if - anyone tried this out and does this mean Workflow sends a expiry message to the UPES queue on task expiry. I hope I can extract from this queue and send notifications based on this message.

2. Do notifications work for UPES task in case there are no worklists?

Any help/pointers would be greatly appreciated?

There are 2 XML messages that are sent to the UPES queue in addition to the ActivityImplInvoke. They are:

TerminateProgram
ActtivityExpired

The ActivityExpired should do what you want.
