Hello!
We've to synchronize Workflow Runtime and Buildtime environments with the same FDL input scripts. During this
process, it seems that the the "fmcibie" and the "fmcbcimp"
doesn't exactly do the same action for the same FDL.
For example, if workitems list of person 'A' contains
person 'B' and 'C' and than the newly loaded FDL contains:
<...>
AUTHORIZED_FOR WORKITEMS_OF 'D'
<...>
than, after executing fmcibie and fmcbcimp (both with
"-o" (overwrite) options), the workitems of person 'A' in
runtime will be replaced, and will hold person 'D',
and that's what we'd have like to do. So it's fine.
BUT in buildtime, the workitems of person 'A'
will contains 'B','C' and 'D'. Even though, that the
fmcbcimp also writes out to the standard output, that
"...person 'A' has been replaced...".
Does anybody has any ideas, how is it possible to
"delete" persons form another perons' workitems??
Or, should we use another tool despite fmcbcimp?
(Anyway, the situation is the same with the categories
and categories administration attribute lists too)
Thanks in advance,

As I recall what you are reporting is the default behavior of buildtime import.
There is no other tool for import into buildtime. One thing that you might consider (assuming you are trying to get Buildtime in synch with Runtime) is to delete your BT database (or just create another one) and do a complete import of the RTDB data. _________________ John McDonald

uhum. To tell the truth, I suspected that it's not a bug, because basically
the buildtime is the modeller tool to CREATE fdl and not to receive...
But it's still strange, that it's not possible to "sink" data from buildtime,
even with replacing a workflow object. Than, why is the "-o" option for fmcbcimp????
Deleting the database is a good idea, but unfortunately in our case it's not
working. We receive separate persons' data from a backend system, and load
it individually (with small fdl files) to RT and BT. Thus, we can't delete and
recreate the whole BT database all the time.
Anyway, thanks. You reinforced my thought, that fmcbcimp does it's job
well. Even if it's not good for us now :)
Regards,
