Hi
Is there anyway to automatically re-distrubute messages that have been delivered to a clustered queue?
We have 1 hub server that sends messages to a cluster of 4 spoke servers. The problem occurs when one of the spoke servers encounters a problem and its processing slows, or even stops.
We would like to be able to re-balance the cluster by taking messages from the overloaded server and re-distributing them to the other servers.
Is there a utility/support pack that can facilitate this?
FYI - We are running AIX MQ 5.3 CSD07 on the Hub server and Win2k MQ 5.3 CSD03 on the clustered spoke servers.
Sorry, But no. Once a message is delivered the destination queue on a Qmanager. MQ clustering has comlpeted its responsibility. You can add a cluster sender channel exit to assist in determining how to manage the load balancing. But once that determination is done at send time it needs to be processed by the receiver.

Yes. MO71 will allow you to take the messages off of the overloaded server, and move them to another queue / queue manager. _________________ Peter Potkay
