Hi,

I'm trying to have a channel to use SSL on MQSeries 5.3(Linux), I've successfully created the keystore file with the gsk5ikm tool (GSKit is version 5).
But when trying to start it, the Queue Manager looks for version 6 libraries:
Quote:
/usr/local/ibm/gsk6/lib/libgsk6ssl.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory.

I created symbolic links of the gsk files (version 5) with the fake names of gsk6 so that the MQ could find the libraries.

But, as you can guess, it didn't work - probably due to the actual differences between the versions.
Quote:
/usr/local/ibm/gsk6/lib/libgsk6ssl.so: version `GSKSSL' not found (required by /opt/mqm/lib/amqccgsk_r). The queue manager will continue without this module.

I've searched through the Internet, but didn't find anything on GSKit Install (upgrade). Could you indicate how to have this upgrade? Or, even better, some way to have the version 5 working?

Thanks a lot,
Rodrigo.

Gskit version 6 is supplied with WebSphere MQ, it can be installed alongside
Version 5. You should install the gsk6bas and MQSeriesKeyMan packages from your MQ CD.

Thanks Philip, I got it.

Now I'm having a different problem, if someone have already seen this please let me know how to solve it: when starting the sender channel, I get the error:
Quote:
/usr/local/ibm/gsk6/lib/libgsk6cms.so: undefined symbol:
_ZNSt13_Format_cacheIcEC1Ev.

The channel had the following configuration changed:
SSLCIPH(DES_SHA_EXPORT1024)

I tried to use another machine, but the result was exactly the same

Regards,
Rodrigo

In the MQExplorer drop down menu I don't see any DES_SHA_EXPORT1024

This one is in the MQSC manual. Now I noticed that it's not available for Windows (I'm using a Linux machine), that's why you can't see it in the MQExplorer.

I tried using other CipherSpecs, the errors still occurs. But for assurance I am going to test all of them.

If there is something else that you found wrong, please tell me.
