GOOD - When we install WBIMB 5.0 followed immediately by the application of CSD04 (without opening the toolkit) the updates appear to be applied without error.
BAD - However, if the toolkit is opened before the application of CSD04, we end up with "Pending Changes".
DETAILS - We have run into a problem when applying CSD04 to a workstation that has installed the base product and then performed and initial open of the toolkit. During the initial startup of the toolkit, the "Completing Installation" phase of the startup appears to enable some configuration dependencies that prohibit the application of changes from CSD04. (I think that this may go back to problems with CSD02...)
I am having trouble identifying and resolving these dependencies. _________________ Thanks,

Hopefully your initial install is one that has been refreshed to include CSD1 or CSD2.
The installation instructions for CSD1 explicitly state that you CAN'T launch the tooling after you install the GA and before you install CSD1. If this is done, then you will need to uninstall and reinstall.
GA was really broken.
Also, there are instructions with CSD4 about what to do if the updates don't apply. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Delete the ".metadir" located in the <wbimb-install-dir>\eclipse\workspace and the restart the toolkit. Everything should go fine |
