How to check with ESQL if an XML Tag exist in a Message in a WMQI 2.1 Compute Node ?

Or you can use FieldName function.
For example:

FIELDNAME(InputRoot.XML) returns 'XML'.
FIELDNAME(InputBody) returns the name of the last child of InputRoot, which could be 'XML'.
FIELDNAME(InputRoot.*[<]) returns the name of the last child of InputRoot, which could be 'XML'.

To store the fieldname in a variable:

DECLARE thePath character;
SET thePath = FIELDNAME(InputRoot.XML.*[1]);
[\code]
You can use this to findout which is the next tag... |
