I have a question regarding the Outbound server in MQ Link for R/3. Some times momentaryly it goes down and comes back.It doesnt generate any error for going down, but it generates a message saying Outbound server started normally. Did you see this type of situation??

And we have a script scheduled in Maestro(Workload scheduler) for periodically running and it will start any MQ component if it is down. Some times this job hangs.Continuously on the EXEC status. We have to kill manually.Though it doent have a impact on MQ performance. Do you have a any clue why it hangs??

Thanks
Kiran

What are the possiblities for the MQ job scheduled in Maestro(work load scheduler) to hang.

The purpose of this job is to periodically say once an hour to run , check all MQ components and re-start if thet are down. Basically this is a UNIC shell script. once in a while after completing the job run the job hangs. I guess it is a maestro issue rather than a MQ issue. But people say some thing wrong with MQ.

Any ideas?

Thanks

When you need to restart any of the processes, put them in the background.

This way there will be no delay to maestro due to sudden workload being discovered as the process starts.

Enjoy
