Hi,

Does anyone know how MQWF does multi lang support?

Can a MQWF single install support multiple langauages... meaning can clients choose their preferred lang and interact with the same MQWF server?

Any info regarding multi-lang support is appreciated!

Hi,
I don't think MQWF provides support for multi-lang (Please correct me if anyone knows about it).
But if you are providing your Web-interface for Workflow, in that case we should be able to provide multi-lang support for the interface based on the user locale. As with any application providing locale support, we should be able to provide locale specific messages/commands on the Web-interface to the user. The locale specific commands/ messages can be picked up from locale specific property file for messages/ commands.

The same MQ WF server should be sufficient for all locales.

Just an idea.

Hi,

MQWF is translated in more than 20 languages (including double byte and bidrectional). You have to select the appropriate language during installation of your client. I think you can get the NLS packages from the support page. The language setting of your client is burned in a profile variable so a single user cannot simply switch the language. However multiple installed clients can work with different languages against the same MQWF server provided that they all use the same code page (e.g. Latin1).

The WebClient messages are displayed in the language that is set in the browser. However if the WebClient displays a message that has its origin in the underlying native C code the message is displayed in the language set in the profile variable.
