Hi
1- Under which directory in WSAD I can find the output of the trace node ? I use the trace node through the development and testing process . I know there is a generic trace file.
2 - How can we disable the trace node on the production environment ? I used it on the development and debugging but I want to disable it on the production environment .
thanks |

I've seen applications preface a Trace node with a Filter node, that checks the value of an environment setting to determine whether the Trace node should be invoked (i.e. a dynamic trace indicator that the front-end application sets and passes to WBI or a setting on the server that identifies the environment).
I wouldn't recommend this method if you have a multitude of Trace nodes in your message flow, as the overhead can be considerable. |

What I normally do on the Windows platform is to write all my trace files to a particular directory like c:\tracefiles from the Trace Node (in the DEV environment). When I deploy to Production (which is on a different machine) I don't create the tracefile subdirectory and this prevents my tracefiles from being created. _________________ Applications Architect |
