I have just installed 5.0 and am having problems with deploying a simple message flow on Windows XT.
I have created the config manager, broker and databases. I have created the domain connection, created the broker topology, added a broker, connected. All appears to be OK.
I have created a simple message flow to take an input XML message, tweak it and put out an XML message.
I create the .bar file, but when I try to drop it onto the default execution group I get the contact admin black circle with a slash in it.
I am able to run the flow using RAD.
Any suggestions???

Did you check your Event log in the tool for any error messages that are logged.
I think there are some errors in your code that are preventing you from doing the deploy. |

Hi,
When you drag athe bar file onto the EG the icon actually changes from a circle to a file folder icon which is when you can drop it to deploy. If not, right click on the bar file and select Deploy File which is the same as drag and drop deploy.

Also make sure your user-id is part of mqb* groups. _________________ Kiran

Thanks for the suggestions ... however, I must have forgotten to do something very basic...
First, Nizam, checked the Event log but since nothing was dropped, no deploy was attempted so no entries in the log.
Second, chenulu, when I drag/drop, nothing changes. When I right click on the bar file in the Administration Perspective-->Navigator, I don't see any "Deploy" so maybe that is a clue??? I do see
Enterprise Services-->Generate Deploy Code...
but if I click it it tells me the function is not enabled.
Third, Kirian, (hi) my user id is in all the correct groups.
By the way, I can run the flow if I use RAD.

The "Administration" persective?
Or the "Broker Administration" Perspective?
Also, you do not want the "Navigator" pane, you want the "Broker Administration Navigator" pane. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

I was right!!! I DID DO SOMETHING STUPID!
Thanks jefflowery, you aren't a grand master for nothing. I should have said the "Broker Administration Perspective" and I was not using the "Broker Administration Navigator" pane. When I did, viola! |
