Hi
I posted this in the installation/configuration forum but it might be better posted to this Java one - sorry for doubling-up.
We are running WebSphere MQ V5.3 on zlinux. Our websphere application includes the com.ibm.mq.jar in the application .ear file. This is probably the wrong thing to do, but its the way it is at present. We found that we were using the 5.1 version of the com.ibm.mq.jar and changed our .ear file to include the 5.3 version.
The result was a steady build up in the number of established MQ connections during the day eventually with the application failing getting lots of 2009 return codes requiring a restart of websphere. Reverting to the 5.1 jar the problem went away.
We don't use JMS and don't use any connection pooling
Does any one know why this is happening and how to fix it?
Are you positive that your code closes your connections?
When you posted your code in your other message, you did not show where the QM connections were made and dropped. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general.
