I'm using MQ V5.3 with the broker support pac on W2K. I've got some developers that are coding in Java and are bringing down the broker piece every so often. When the broker dies, the queues that it had open stay open. When I do a status, it still show the broker exec's and the PIDs - but the process are not running in task manager. Is there a way to get the queues to close the dead connections? Process execs are amqfcxba and amqfcxaa.

Are you running with any FixPacks applied? Are there any FDC files being thrown? I'd really be interested in knowing what your java (or is it JMS?) programs are doing to cause the broker to crash.
