Is it require to export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5 while installing MQ Series rpms on RH ES 3?

If I do not export the variable, the rpms are takeing considerable time to get installed.

This variable shouldn't affect rpm.

Well, don't use it then.

I know I didn't have it in place until I tried to run the license script, and got a core dump.
