Hi,
- We dont know very much about WAS and we wonder about Websphere Application Server and Websphere MQ on the same machine:

+ is it possible to have the two on the same machine?

+ is it possible to have WAS installed without mqseries client nor mqseries server installed?

+ i just get a sun solaris machine with WAS installed but none 'mqm' package installed - can i normally install a client mqseries besides the WAS?

+ what about the directories used for each of these packages, no pb?

thanks for help

Yes, We have it here on Linux. We wanted to ensure that the MQ applications would continue to function if the machine was divorced from the rest of the network.

Yes, but there is a kind of MQ lite that comes with WAS that will end up being installed.

We have done this as well. Just checked.

I don't know on Solaris
