Hi Friends,
We are planning for migration of MQSI2.1 to WBIMB V5 env. We have config manager on windows machine and brokers on solaris machine.
We are thinking about preserving mqsi2.1 code level migration path. I am just wondering if anyone had done this , can answer the following.
I have gone through the links but unclear......
1) we have config manager in windows environment, So for migration do we have to uninstall the mqsi2.1 version and install WBIMB v5? according to links says to preserve do not fully uninstall?
2) since we have brokers on unix with MQsi2.1, do we require to uninstall an intstall the WBIMBv5 over there also even we want to preserve at code level? what we have to do?
Please help
thanks |

You need not delete the Config Mgr if you want to retain the assignments, topology etc.
Similarly, you need not delete the broker if migrating just from 2.1 to 5.0.
Please refer to Migrating from WebSphere MQ Integrator Broker Version 2.1 to WebSphere Business Integration Message Broker Version 5.0 section in Migration manual. _________________ Kiran
