Hi,

How to remove/drop the DB2 database on a windows machine. when ever I drop the DB2 instance from DB2 control center and try to reconfigure workflow, the config utility says some thing like "This instance is already existing in the system".

I want to know a foolproof way to get rid of the DB2 instance and be able to create a configuration in workflow with the same instance name.

Thanks

Use the RT data base features of the configuration utility fmczutil to drop the data base.

To remove db2 instance completely on windows, go to contorl center, right click and select drop. That will remove the database completely. If you select "remove" instead of "drop" then you get the posted error message. "Remove" still keep an entry in system catalog.

Check out in the windows registry. type REGEDIT on the command prompt and make sure it is not there. It may cause problems sometimes.
