Hello all!
I'm trying to run a wmqi 2.1 environment under vmware but the broker does not co-operate. The control center and config manager seem to work ok but the broker writes this kind of messages to the event log:
Code: |
LIL 'D:/wmqi/bin/MtiImbParser.lil' has been unloaded. This could be because it contained no resources, or because the resources were already provided by another LIL. Ensure that all LILs contain valid, non-duplicate resources.
File 'D:\wmqi\bin\MtiImbParser.lil' contains insufficient resources.
The message broker loaded the implementation file 'D:\wmqi\bin\MtiImbParser.lil' and found entry points in it but could it not find either any node factories, parser factories, or any other kind of resource within it.
Contact either the author or the supplier of the loadable implementation library for further assistance. If the supplier is IBM, contact your IBM support center.
Resource Manager: Already Initialized.
This is an internal program error which occurs when an attempt is made at initializing the Resource Manager more than once. The initialization occurs in the rmInitialise() method in the MtiImbParser factory class constructor.
Trace files for the Execution group should be collected. Record the full details provided with this message and contact your IBM support center.
Invalid data source for broker database.
An internal error has occurred when trying to connect to a data source through the resource manager.
Record the full details provided with this message and contact your IBM support center.
Exception caught whilst loading file 'D:\wmqi\bin\MtiImbParser.lil', the broker will operate with reduced capability.
The message broker caught an exception whilst loading the implementation file 'D:\wmqi\bin\MtiImbParser.lil'. The broker will continue to operate but with reduced capabilities. See the following messages for details of the error.
See your system log for other messages associated with this one to establish and correct the cause of the problem.
Internal Error initializing the Message Translation Interface with the Resource Manager.
An internal processing error has occurred.
Record the full details provided with this message and contact your IBM support center
Resource Manager: Already Initialized. (same as above)

The database source error seems odd to me because I can create/delete a broker without such problems. I run Win XP as host, Win2k(SP4) guest, vmware workstation 4.5.2-8848, WMQ 5.3+CSD6, DB 7.1+latest FP, WMQI 2.1 + CSD07 (w/neon). I've tried using DB2 8.1 + FP5(?) but it had the same problems. Any deas?? This is my development environment so pretty much what I want with it.

Do you have enough Memory Available when you split memory resources between VMWARE GUEST OS and the HOST OS. Check it out ? This looks like a resource problem to me...
Thanks,

Oops, forgot to mention the amount of memory: The virtual machine has 1GB memory. I can give about 500MB more but I doubt it'll help. Host has 2GB.
Thanks,
