I am attempting to have a legacy MQSeries C client program to compile on .NET. I imported the old project and changed the library to mqic32.lib

This was changed in the project->properties (additional dependencies)

When rebuilding, I receive.

Linking...
LINK : fatal error LNK1181: cannot open input file 'mqic32.lib'

Any ideas what chis could be?

You need to tell the IDE where mqic32.lib is located.
i.e. WMQ v5.3
<MQ_INSTALL_PATH>\Tools\Lib

Yea, that was the problem. It appears that when moving projects for VC6 to .NET it losses all the setup in Option->Directory tab for MQSeries. I found it finally, it just took alot of time. I figured this out earlier when i moved the client library to a know directrory to .NET.
