We faced a problem today in MQ between Mainframe and HP.The Mainframe side the QMGR was frozen they couldnt access the QMGR.And some mainframe jobs were hanging. But we could see the channels running on HP side. No messages were flowing.
Once on HP side the channels were stopped, resolved and restarted the problem cleared. HP guys say that the port on the mainframe got lockked in a LUW, and once the channel is restarted everything if OK. Does this make any sense. Does anyone has a ny comments or suggestions to avoid this type of situations??
Is there a chance of TCP/IP session of channel getting lost when one side queuemanager hangs.Apparently once the channels have been stopped and re-started everything works fine. The errors give AMQ9207,AMQ6183.
