Hi ,

Is it good to keep the channels always up and running or to start the channels when ever a message comes on to the XMIT queue?

Thanks
Kiran

I have never come across a channel where it's set to "always running". It's good practice to setup triggering on xmit queues to start channels.

I'm using both continously running channels and triggered channels.

It all depends on how time critical the applications are, it takes 1-2 secs depending on the bandwidth and security requirements to start the channels.... All SENDER channels are triggered.

When we're using continous running channels it requires a stable network, and automatic to start/stop the channels.

Generally I'm using disconnecting channels when dealing with clusters.

Just my $0.02
