Hi Friends,

We are facing lot of problems with MQSI broker in production environment, So we are looking for best way to monitors logs in case error with the broker(Any error with BIP or anything).

Is there anything available in support pacs that helps to notify incase of any broker errors.

Any outside tools like candle or any other? Or if someone had custom written code ?

your help is highly appreciated

What version of MQSI are you using (CSD?) and on which platform?

Typically, one has to build "Error Handling" for message flows that can record error messages (BIP) into some log files and take appropriate actions, like writing the message to error queue, or sending an email.

I don't know of any supportPac that can be used directly, but you can use Sendmail plug-in node to send an email from your message flows. Candle Omegamon XE for WMQI comes with two plug-in nodes that can be used to generate "events" within your message flows, These events can be viewed using Dashboard.

Hi Kiran,

Thanks for your help, Actually our problem is not with message flows ...its with execution group that runs the message flow. sometime execution groups aborts even broker is running. So we wants to make sure broker and execution group(s) running fine ....and incase any problem in execution group (even broker is running fine ) ..we will get notified before we send any data to message flows for processing.

any support PACs? do we need to write customized scripts outside of mqsi ? or Tivoli has any product like that?

I know Candle's Omegamon XE for WMQI can monitor your EG and Broker process. You can configure it to generate a situation if an EG dies (or restarts), and get notified. There are other vendors (like MQSoftware, contact admin etc.) that provides similar functionality.
