Are there tools to monitor queues?

If there are.... Can these tools monitor if a queue or queues are inactive for a particular time interval? Its just like the MQ Event Monitoring - Queue Service Interval, though this event monitoring only will inform you on the NEXT MQPUT or MQGET that will happen.

Yes.

In fact, the "MQSeries Monitoring/Tools" forum here is devoted exclusively to discussing the various tools for monitoring queues.

You might also look through the recent discussion (somewhere) on Queue Statistics.

JD,

There are lots of MQ monitoring tool available in the market. Here is the list of some vendors that I know of,
1. Candle's (now IBM) Omegamon XE for MQ.
2. MQSoftware's QPasa.
3. contact admin's Contact Admin for MQ.
4. Tivoli's (IBM) MQ Monitor.

I think all these tools can check activities on the queue.
