Do all message flows that reference a message set need to be in the same execution group as the message set?
Thanks. |

It's a good practice to do it this way, but it doesn't have to be. In some situations you might want to deploy the message flows sharing same message sets to two different EG's to get better performance. _________________ Kiran

But you can't have all your message sets in one execution group, and your message flows in another.
That's what the question is about - "Do the message sets I use for a particular flow have to be in the same execution group as the flow itself" - at least, as I understand it.
And, again, as I understand it, the answer to that is Yes. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

We are still thinking MQSI2.1 deploy where MsgSet has to be in the ExecutionGroup. Under WBIMB it is part of the bar file when you deploy, you simply click the flow and set that are needed. _________________ jkhaw |

Right.
But if you put it in the same bar file, then it ends up in the same execution group.
And, if I remember correctly, in 2.1 the Message Sets were deployed to the broker itself, not to the execution group. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

I believe you meant to say that they are assinged to the Broker and depending on the deploy action you take they are deployed to one or more Exection group.
In WBIMB V5 message sets are deployed to an EG. _________________ Kiran
