time for some fun!
(it's meant to make you giggle and not be offended!)
10 Signs you must be Working at IBM
(by David Letterman)
10 You lecture the neighborhood kids selling lemonade on ways to improve their process.
9 You get all excited when it's Saturday so you can wear shorts to work.
8 You refer to the tomatoes grown in your garden as deliverables.
7 You find you really need Freelance to explain what you do for a living.
6 You normally eat out of vending machines and at the most expensive restaurant in town within the same week.
5 You think that "progressing an action plan" and "calendarizing a
project" are acceptable English phrases.
4 You know the people at faraway hotels better than your next-door
neighbors.
3 You ask your friends to "think outside the box" when making
Friday night plans.
2 ( You think Einstein would have been more effective had he put his
ideas into a matrix.
And, the number one sign you work for IBM...
1 You think a "half-day" means leaving at 5 o'clock.
finally...

The cartoon rings true. I once saw IBM (UK) bring 17 people to a meeting about internet hosting. |

That's extreme! brrr
When I was working at IBM, on many occassions I was that famous last guy (and being there... giggle), varying from 1 to 5 tag alongs with me...
In case anyone wonders... I was with IBM for 16 years and yes... there is life after IBM... _________________ Michael

Yep they all ring true, after 17 years and re-shaping my career ( HA just staying ahead of the next surplusing action) these all ring very true. I spent many an all nighter trying to get everything working for the rep-tile who swept in in the morning did his pitch and sailed off to never - never land !!!! Don't miss it a bit.....
Life is way better without the BLUE monkey on your back!
Happy 4th to all who celebrate it! |

and don't get me wrong, i'am blue to the bone (almost 'born' as an IBM kid, but my father was 3 years late )
and even recognised as an IBM two generations club member...
I still have the gold cufflinks to prove it... he he... _________________ Michael
