Does anyone have a view on the best way to interface to MQ Everyplace from a VB.NET application running on a Windows XP laptop?
I assume that MQE is the correct solution when the MQ application cannot be guarenteed network connectivity to the remote queue managers?
Any alternatives (other than a full MQ Queue Manager installation on each laptop)? |

WebSphere MQ Express might be an option instead of a full queue manager. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

I sort of assumed that was just a marketing term.
What's the difference between Websphere MQ and Websphere MQ Express?
Thanks |

It's more limited, license wise. I don't know all the details, myself, but something like it can only be connected to one external queue manager, or have only one active channel or something.
Consequently, it's less expensive than a "real" queue manager.
As always, when it comes to pricing or licenses.. Talk to your IBM Sales Representative. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
