No. Use the name of the security domain where your id is defined.

The -d option is also available on the mqsichangeconfigmgr command. |

No..
You need to set the Security Domain name to the name of the Domain that the Security is coming from - the name of the Windows domain that your user belongs to and logs into.
So when you log onto your computer, you enter a user name and a domain name (usually from a pop-up box). Supply that domain name to the -d parameter of the config manager.
You don't need to drop & recreate the configmgr, I think. I think you can use mqsichangeconfigmgr.
But please look at the documentation for mqsichangeconfigmgr and mqsicreateconfigmgr. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

After changing definition of configuration manager by giving -d option as security domain,it gives following error while starting control center. It fails to start control center:
BIP1350E: The current operation has timed out.
One or more requests have been sent to the Configuration Manager to process the current operation, but no reply has been received for the last request sent. I tried several times but it gives the same error every time.
Either your request has queued up behind a long-running request by another user, or the Configuration Manager has stopped. Check that it is up and running then retry the operation. Because the link to the Configuration Manager is via MQSeries, it is important to note that the original operation may have fully completed, or have partly completed, even though no reply was received in the allotted time. The results of the retried operation should indicate this, and will determine subsequent actions. For example, if a check-in operation timed out then the update may have occurred, but the object may still be locked. A subsequent check-in would then fail with a locked response. The action would then be to unlock the object. |

Sonali,
It'd be better if you could explain your environment setup. Like,
do you have different queue managers for Broker and config mgr?
Are there any domain controller in your environment?
What are the user-authorizations on that box?
where is your DB2 DB located?
What commands have you used to create config mgr and Broker?
etc. _________________ Kiran

Have you verified this? Are there additional messages in the eventlog? |

Here is the complete message from Event log:I issued the specified command from command line and then after issuing the command it says "RPC to local server returned 0X0".I dont understand what it is.
able to find a domain controller to synchronize with for a long time. To reduce network traffic, the time service will wait 960 minutes before trying again. No synchronization will take place during this interval, even if network connectivity is restored. Accumulated time errors may cause certain network operations to fail. To tell the time service that network connectivity has been restored and that it should resynchronize, execute "w32tm /s" from the command line. |
