Hi,

I'm trying to find some information about the integration of this scenario:

Code:

WebLogic  <-1->    MQ   <-2->    MQ  <-3-> Host(CICS)

1 Integration is no Problem, you can use jms, and the normal java API

2 It is also no Problem, I think

3 Is also no Problem, because IBM has a solution

BUT WHAT is with the hole scenario. Are there any bottlenecks if you ant to exchange data from a J2EE Application on WebLogic to the Host(CICS) and back.
There are any special things to handle, any Problem with Headers and so on.

If someone has an Idea or some suggestions how to solve this integration
problem and what are the specials, please let me know.

Thanks,
Robert

Hi,

That is one of the scenerio's that is done at my current client. It should work like a charm. The only gotcha that I can think of is make sure you set your the attribute of 'TARGCLIENT' to 'MQ' for the JMS Q in your JNDI tree.

Because the default for 'TARGCLIENT' is 'JMS' and that means the RFH2 header will be send with the message. And most mainframe applications will fail with the RFH2 header.

Hope that helps.
