Dear all,
I have an client java application that access a remote queue manager.
Sometimes I receive a MQRC_RESOURCE_PROBLEM.
My question is this a ressource problem for the system where client runs or is it a resource problem for the system where the queue manager runs? _________________ Pierre Richelle

Do you have FDCs on either the client or the server at the time the MQRC was returned?
It might be relevant to a resource problem on either side.
I have seen this before when the server side had reached the maximum number of allowed processes for a user ID. In my case the default was 1024 for each user ID, and MQ creates two processes for each client connection when using inetd as the listener. _________________ Regards

I would think you would get this reason code from the server. Its really unlikely that this would be thrown from a client, even though not impossible.
Usually a resource problem comes up because of some limit reached/hit on the O/s. On an MQ server machine, this is highly likely.
What MQ api call is throwing this error. Or is that you are just inquiring about a doubt that you had.
Also usually there is an FD file associated with this error, even though not always. If there is one, post it here.
Cheers
