Hi ,

On OS/390 CSQUTIL can be used for functionalities like

- Copying messages from a queue to a data set
- Loading a queue with messages from above dataset.

My questions are

1. Can this dataset produced be browsed or edited.

2. Is there a way i can use CSQUTIL to perform browse of messages and retain them in a buffer variable which can be displayed later.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is a ISPF support pack that will allow you to browse messages on a Q. (I think it is MA10).

We wrote our own QLOAD utility but I believe that CSQUTIL can be used to do it....it just isn't quite what we wanted. CSQUTIL is documented in the z/OS System Administration Guide (SC34-6053-00 )

You can also use supportpack MO/71 (If you have client access feature installet). This one gives you a nice gui to see and manipulate the MQ objects with.
