Do you have actually enough disk space for the size of the log files (primary and secondary) you are trying to create? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

The 893 error has been discussed many number of times in this forum. And there is abundant info relating to this issue. Just use the search button and use "zsllpiCreateQM" as the search key. Go through the posts and the thoughts discussed there. May be one of the points there would resolve your issue.
Cheers

I had have this weird error on linux. I never found the real reason for that.
On a machine it looks like a permission problem, because crtmqm only works with user mqm and not with member of group mqm.
Maybe there is a problem with shared memory or temporary files. You tried to create a queuemanager as root. I would reboot the machine, clean temporary files and create an other queuemanager with user mqm. Maybe you have to remove the old queuemanager manually.
In Websphere MQ Administration Guide is a capitel "Removing a queuemanager manually".
If you have, compare the file permissions with a working machine.
And at least, dont forget do read memo.ptf and the requirements for your system and the installed CSD's. _________________ Gunter Jeschawitz

Okay, a couple of things. One, I hope this isn't an Embedded Messaging queue manager, as I don't think you should be creating it manually or trying to delete it. If you're having issues installing WAS because of this, then the issue may be WAS more than MQ.
Second, you really should change the name of your server from 'server1'.
Third, did you do the search for zsllpiCreateQM that mqonnet suggested? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

I think this is WAS and MQ problem. From the name of the queue manager it is a WAS related. And it is mq problem with crtmqm.
The problem here probably lies with the fact that for WAS JMS server which is using MQ, the queue manager shoudl be created using the script provided.
Now if this is Embedded MQ, then it should have been created by WAS, and not manually. Otherwise, you can run the script createmq.sh. For instructions on using the command, look through WAS InfoCenter.
Also if doing this with non-root, check out the same instructions in the InfoCenter. There's probably some processes or semaphores stillowned by root, which must be cleared, before attempting to use non-root.
Also ensure that the userid, whatever it is, is given group mqm.
I hope that helps.
btw, to delete the queue manager, you should also use the deletemq script. |

If the queue manager was for WAS, you can't just delete the queue manager. You need to run the deletemq script. Because there some more additional stuff created for the jms broker.
Also when you said you delete the queue manager, did you delete the line in the mqm.ini, or use the command dltmqm ?
In anycase, you need to use deletemq script to delete the WAS queue manager.
Also please look at the suggestion to check the semaphores owned by root. Go to the WAS InfoCenter, and search for Using Non-root. There will be some results showing how to clear the resources owned by root. |

Kiran,
First of all, your product version is out of support. So i would suggest you get the latest version, which is WMQ 5.3. And also get the CSD06 for that too.
Meanwhile, for the version you have, which 5.2, based on the FDC header, you should also try to install the latest CSD. I think should be CSD08. There was a mention of your probeid XC147100 been fixed in CSD04, for the same xstCreateSegment component. Try that.
Also worth noting that your userid invscout should be in group mqm. Make sure you take a look at the Quicl Beginnings manual for version 5.2 on AIX.
There is also an issue with conflicting IPCC address. Try to search for that on this site. |
