Hi
I have an MQ envirement stretching over z/OS, HPUX, SUN Solaris and W2K. We have experienced som problems with channels not reconnecting (retrying) after restart. To solve this problem on z/OS we set the ADOPTMCA to yes on z/OS. sofar this seems to solve the problem on z/OS.
We are however still experiencing the same thing on the distributed platforms. Is there a ADOPTMCA function or equivalent in the mentioned platforms and if so how do I set it?
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Same thing is also available on UNIX platforms
Look at System Administration Guide's chapter 9 Configuring WebSphere MQ

There is a section called Changing Queue Manager configuration Information

Yes, there I found it. Previously I searched the document for ADOPTMCA but in the distributed world they work with ADOPTNEWMCA.
