I am working on a strategy for upgrading a 5.1 MQ installation to Websphere MQ 5.3.
I have run a test where I upgrade a host that is part of a MQ cluster and also has a distributed channel to a queue manager that is not a member of the same cluster.
When I start the queue manager on the upgraded host I find that the distributed channel's transmission queue has the following two parameters changed.
GET is now DISABLED and TRIGGER is now NOTRIGGER.
I have changed these parameters back manually using runmqsc but I was wondering why these two parameters have changed?
If I stop the same queue manager (while it is at 5.1) for an hour then restart it I have no problems.
To upgrade the host I run pkgrm to remove the mqm-update package then the mqm package. I then run pkgadd to install MQ 5.3 followed by mqm-upd06 and gsk6bas.
If this change of parameter is unavoidable is there a quick way to change these parameters back? _________________ Regards,
Christopher.
