hello all

Im using xp, mq5.3, csd6 and I want to start a channel and get a channel status using vb.net. I am trying to use the .Net adoble pdf file but I dont see anything in regards to such.

I figured out how to run the samples and get the idea of putting and getting messages. I am really excited to learn but don't see anything describing how to use vb.net to do start channel or get channel status

can anyone help me?

Search this web site for pcf and .net, as there is undocumented (and probably unsupported) PCF support in the .net layer. Note there were a load of pcf fixes which shipped in fixpack 6 so dont try with any fixpack lower than that.

thanks for your reply. I am definitely using CSD 6 with 5.3 on XP

I have searched and searched including this site and although I see how it is done in C and java I cannot find anything on starting a channel with VB.NET.

It seems like everyone is struggling to use pcf using VB.NET even though csd6 is supposed to help out tremendously in this area.

if anyone has any snippets etc for pcf using VB.net PLEASE PLEASE let me know..

I feel like if I have one example I can build on it and learn how to perform lots of other pcf stuff in VB.net
