I can create a Message Flow Mapping File for a 32-bit DB2 8.1 user database (on an AIX server running 32-bit O/S), but am unable to create one for a 64-bit DB2 8.1 user database (on a Sun Solaris server running 64-bit O/S).
Does anyone know whether there is a limitation, whereby WBIMB will only work with 32-bit DB2 8.1 databases?
(I believe that it works with 64-bit Oracle databases, so would be surprised if this were the case?)
Alternatively, has anyone already raised a PMR with IBM regarding a similar jdbc issue ?
(We are running WMQ 5.3 + CSD04, WBIMB 5.0 + CSD02, DB2 8.1 + FP4, JDK 1.4)
Regards,
Nick. |

I raised a PMR (61151,019,866) with IBM and they have provided a work around:
"Select 'Other DB2 Driver' and then manually enter in the class for the
Type 2 or Type 4 driver. The problem seems to be related to the version of the driver that gets returned in the metadata. By selecting the other
driver the WBIMB Toolkit does not do a comparison"
This worked and enabled us to reference an external 64-bit DB2 database. |
