Take a look at Chapter 14 from the MQSeries Application Programming Guide "Starting MQSeries Applications Using Triggers"
This should give you a basic understanding of the trigger monitor and how to use it. This manual is available in PDF format at:

From the version number I'd assume it's AS/400. Does MQ/400 come with a trigger monitor? I dunno, but maybe someone else does.

Sorry....ver. 4.2.1 on the AS/400. I would like to start the trigger monitor, but on that version, I can't seem to execute STRMQMTRM as in 5.1+
Do I need to compile/use the sample programs, AMQSTRG4 and AMQSERV4 ?
