Hi,
I have a requirement to Default a field with Current TIMESTAMP (’yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss.ffffff’), ie till Micro Seconds.
Though in the Manuals its mentioned that Default value will be till Micro Seconds, when I am actually using this, Its getting defaulted till Milli Seconds only.
I Tried the Option of setting the Default Time Value Till MicroSeconds in the Message Set Properties.........But No Use .
If you have a solution, please get back to me asap.
My ID is Kishore_hbs@yahoo.co.in.
Thanks in advance. |

Hi Kishore_hbs -
You are going to have to give us some more information here.
You want to default a datetime field to the current timestamp including microseconds precision. You are using a message set.
I assume you intend to do the defaulting in ESQL as you say you want the current timestamp ie a dynamic value. You confuse me a little by later saying you are trying to set the Default Time Value in the Message Set Properties.
Following is my stab at what you're problem might be. If not we need more info.
Regardless of how you default the datetime in ESQL or the Message Set Properties. You need to make sure the Datetime Format of the field contains the correct precision. It is this field which will dictates how the datetime is written in the output message, and it is this that therefore determines the precision of the datetime value in the output message.
The datetime format can be found as a CWF,XML or TDS property on the element. And by default will contain;
yyyy-MM-dd'T'HH:mm:ss.SSSZZZ
In your case you want it to look something like;
yyyy-MM-dd'T'HH:mm:ss.SSSSSS |

Hi Zanda,
Thanks for your reply.
Here are the answers for your requirement:
I am defaulting a character field of length 26.
The Format should be yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss.ffffff ie it should not have 'T' within.
My Question is will the precision be till Micro Seconds?
DO reply asap. _________________ Regards,

Hi,
The Timestamp is getting defaulted till MicroSeconds on the AIX-Broker but not on the NT Broker.
As my Broker is located on AIX Machine, My issue is solved now. But for NT _________________ Regards,
