When I try to connect to DB2 (Evaluating expression 'Database.CONFIGSYS') in a compute node I receive this message back:

RecoverableException BIP2111E: Message broker internal error: diagnostic information '0'.
An internal software error has occurred in the message broker. Further messages will indicate the effect of this error on the broker's transactions. The diagnostic information associated with this message is: '0'.

No more info about the error. Does someone have an idea?

This question really belongs in the WMQI forum.

Do you have 'Treat Warnings as Errors' checked on the Compute node?

Are there any other messages in the system log on the broker machine?

Does the query you are running against DB2 work normally?

Does the database user you configured on the broker (or the odbc datasource if using v5) have permissions to the table you're trying to access?

Okay, that was the easy stuff.

In the Problem Determination Guide (I think it's what it's called), there are instructions for enabling, and understanding tracing, either using the Control Center in the Assignments tab or using the mqsichangetrace command.

In addition, you should check the logs for your database to see if it is telling you anything more.

The Messages guide says this about your BIP
Quote:
Explanation: An internal software error has occurred in the message broker. Further messages will indicate the effect of this error on the broker's transactions. The diagnostic information associated with this message is '&1'.
User Response: Shutdown and restart the message broker. If the problem continues to occur, then restart the system. If the problem still continues to occur, contact your IBM support center

The only thing that might be useful for figuring out what is going on is the mention of transactions. Maybe you don't have enough heap size to maintain the transactions you're trying to run?
