For those of us new to workflow concepts, what are the best resources to learn about workflow? Organizations? Books? Seminars/Conferences? Websites? I've seen wfmc.org (Workflow Management Coalition). Please list any or all that have been or continue to be of use? Thanks!

Thanks for the info. I've taken the MQSoftware class on Workflow Modeling, seen the IBM website, and downloaded the support pacs. I'm also interested in vendor-neutral resources for workflow...

For books try a 'workflow' search on www.amazon.com.
I would recommend
Production Workflow: Concepts and Techniques by Frank Leymann, Dieter Roller

While I agree that the Leyman/Roller book is a great book to understand workflow concepts, you must be aware of one thing. These guys, Leyman/Roller, are the originators of the original IBM workflow product (FlowMark) and this book shows what their "vision" of MQWF would be.

Bottom line, there are many things in that book that have not been implemented in MQWF, even though it may appear that they have.
