I am trying to install the FTPSend node into WebSphere Business Integration Message Broker V5 CSD02. I realize the SupportPack is designed for V2 but I need to send FTP out of the Broker V5. So far I have been unsuccessful. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. |

It would be great if you could explain the problem you are facing with FTPSend node. _________________ Kiran

It's the differences between V2.1 and V5 that I'm having difficulties with. I am unable to get the FTP send node into the Node list so I can use it. From the instructions I need to place the .lil into the bin directory and then add the others to their corresponding directories by following the instructions in the PDF file. I am unable to get the Broker to acknowledge the existence of the new node. Do I need to rebuild the node from scratch like you would a user-defined node or am I just interpreting the file locations wrong. I was able to put in another custom node in no problem, but it was designed for V5. |

How do you know?
Is the broker giving you an error after you restart it?
Is it giving you an error when you try to deploy a flow that uses the node?
Is the broker stopping completely?
Are you getting no errors anywhere, but also not having any FTP sends occur when a flow accesses the FTPSend node? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

The broker dosen't give me an error but it also dosent show the new node. unlike 2.1, V5 automatically adds nodes to the broker. assuming that all the pieces are put in correctly. To put the pieces in V2.1 is shown in the documentation that accompanies ia73
FtpSend.lil -------\bin
FtpSend*.gif -----------\Tool\Images
FtpSend
FtpSend.wdp ---------\Tool\repository\provate\<Host>\<QM Name>\MessageProcessingNodeType
FtpSend.properties ----------\Tool\com\isv
MessageProcessingNodeType_FtpSend.htm -----\Tool\help\com\isv
PasswordPropertyEditor.class -----\Tool\help\com\isv
then after restarting the broker you add the node to the primitives at least that is what you do in V2.1
In V5 most of the directories do not exist. And you no longer need to add the new node to the primitives. Just restart the broker and it's there. you can go to http://www.kolban.com/mbjavascript/ for a node that is designed to work with V5 for practice.
I'm not having the FTPSend node show up at all and the broker dosen't give me any errors that it is trying i.e. FtpSend.gif not found... Everything still works but there is no new node. What have others done to migrate either user-made nodes ones from IBM. |
