Jason,
I actually got a chance to go to a VB.NET class this week, which is where I am at right now.
I installed the 1.1 framework for .NET, MQClient 5.3 CSD04, applied CSD05, ran the gacutil command, replaced the amqmdnet.dll with the one IBM sent me with the fix. The Version # stayed the same 1.0.0.3, but the date is now 11/14/03, versus 09/26/03 for the amqmdnet.dll that came with CSD05. Instead of using the gacutil command, I used the .NET Configuration snap in for mmc to add the amqmdnet.dll into the Assembly cache. In the project, I removed the referance for the old dll, and added it back in again pointing at the new one.
I don't have a QM here to try and connect to, that will have to wait till next week when I am back from class, but I can see that the MQChannelDefinition class is still not there. _________________ Peter Potkay

No, that is correct. That class is purely internal for now.
All the versions shipped in csds will be 1.0.0.3, meaning you dont have to recompile/relink your apps (thats the idea at the moment, anyway). The supportpack version(s) are earlier than that.
The change in the version you have purely takes the maxmsg from 4mb to 100mb to mirror the java classes. |

Thanks Jason, I will test out a put of a message greater than 4 Meg and let you know early next week.
Unfortunatly, the customer I was helping decided to downgrade to CSD04 and MA7P for now. The PCF errors in CSD05 were unacceptable to him. _________________ Peter Potkay

PCF errors? They should be just the same in the cat2 pack?
In fact we have a fix available which implements the missing parts of the pcf for .net, although its still undocumented for the moment. |
