HI,

HOW TO INTEGRATE WEBSPHERE AND MQSERIES...?

I ASSUME WE STORE THE CONNECTION FACTORY,QUEUE MANAGER NAMES IN THE JNDI REPOSITORY OF WEBSHERE AND DO A LOOK FROM THE PROGRAM RUNNING UNDER WEBSPHERE..... USING THIS INFORMATION I THINK I CAN COMMUNICATE WITH THE QUEUE MANAGER ON THE MQSERIES SERVER....

I THINK WE NEED TO SET UP CLASSPATH FOR JMS CLASS IN WEBSPHERE TOO...

THIS ALL WE NEED DO OR LET ME KNOW IN CASE I'M MISSING SOMETHING....

What version of "WebSphere" are you asking about, because it's different for different versions. And to be clear, when you say "WEBSPHERE", you mean WebSphere Application Server, right?

Basically, you need to configure your JMS objects in the JMS administration tools on the WAS server - again how you do this is different for different versions of WAS.

Then, as you say, you use JNDI to look up those JMS objects within your application.

Hi,

By websphere I mean websphere application server... I'm taking about WAS 5.0...

So, I configure my JMS objects in WAS 5.0 and do a Jndi look up... This completes my WAS 5.0 and Websphere MQ integration if I'm right....

Yes. You can use WAS5.0's admin console to define your JMS objects to do a lookup using JNDI.
