Hi,
I have a doubt with ProcessTemplateCreateAndStartInstanceResponse().
I know that when you send a request ProcessTemplateCreateAndStartInstance() to workflow, it sends a response back using ProcessTemplateCreateAndStartInstanceResponse(). When I look at some example XML message of ProcessTemplateCreateAndStartInstanceResponse(), I understand that the element <ProcInstState> can expect values of Ready,Running,Finished,Terminated, Suspended, Terminating, Suspending,Deleted.
I am confused here with when actually Workflow sends the ProcessTemplateCreateAndStartInstanceResponse(). Do we actually define in the model or specify in our request to that when Workflow needs to send the response. Or does Workflow sends response to each state of the process.
Can someone please help me with this.
Thanks in advance.
Snan.

If you send in a CreateandStartInstance you will always get the Response as State = Running if the Request is accepted.
If you send in CreateInstance you will get a response of State = Ready
If you send in ProcessTemplateExecute you will get back a response of State = Executed.
Refer to Programming guide (I dont remember the exact page no, but there is a flow chart some where in XML interface which will help you with this). _________________ -Ratan |
