The environment is MQseries v5.3 csd04 on Aix 5.1. We are seeing
Amq7467 and Amq7468 messages sometimes as oftem as every 6 minutes. Is there a way to determine what is causing it?
The qmanager logs tend to fill up and wrap on us.

You are using linear logging, that's all. What the messages are telling is that you can archive (delete, tape etc ...) all log files older than AMQ7468. The files between AMQ7468 and AMQ7467 can be zipped to preserve disk space ...

There's a perl script to automate the maintenance of log files (i forgot the name), or you can easily write one.

We are already running rcdmqimg and cleanmqlogs daily. It seems as if
we are seeing checkpoints on the linear logs at a higher rate than ever
before.

checkpoints are automatically generated after rcdmqimg or after 1000 entries to the logs are made (and, of corse, at the restart of QM).
