Environment:
AIX 4.3.3; UDB DB2 7.2 ; WMQI2.1
Command mqsicreatebroker MQSI20_BROKER -i user -a password -q QM1 -n DBNAME
abends with "Segmentation fault".
The same AIX machine hosted MQSI2.0.1 broker before, but was upgraded to WMQI2.1
Before upgrade broker was deleted using mqsideletebroker command.
No relevant trace information is written to the system log.
Any suggestions/pointers are greatly appreciated.
George

I posted this same reply to the MQSeries Listserv.
Check your .odbc.ini definitions. If you are using DB2 v7.2 Fix Pak 2 or later you need to use the db2_36.o library. Most likely you are currently using db2.o. This is detailed in the DB2 Fix Pak release notes. Also, the sample odbc definitions can be found in the WMQI Administration manual,Chapter 3 (page 35).

Jason:
Once again, many thanks for your response. Pointing to correct odbc file has rectified the problem. |
