Hi!

I want to know what is the practice with the MQ Queue Manager under MQ upgrade. Is it necessary to delete the Q manager and upgrade the MQ? Can I upgrade the MQ straightaway without Manager deletion? is there any bad effect when upgraded MQ without Manager deletion? What is the best practice to do with the upgrade?

Well the best practice I would suggest uninstalling the code (NOT QUEUE MGR) and install the new code. So far this has worked for me for the last 5
years without issue. If you are uninstalling from Windows there is an option to leave the data alone, it should be checked by default.
