Hi Experts,
I am trying to install MQ Explorer(Version: 8.0.0.5) on Windows 8.1 PC. While installing I have selected Log on as Local System account(since I am not installing it on server).
When I try to create a queue manager it throws an error:
AMQ7077: You are not authorized to perform the requested operation.
Then I tried running MQ Explorer as Administrator. Then it throws an error:
AMQ8101: WebSphere MQ error (80F) has occurred.
Please help!
Thanks |

Have you checked the docs for suitability of the version in your environment?
Do you login to a domain?
Are you a member of the local mqm group?
From your description, most probably a permission issue, possibly on the file system holding the qmgr and / or the log files.
An FDC should have been created... Check it out.
Have fun _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

Yes. I am member of both mqm group and Administrator group.

Ya FDC has been generated.

The user this WebSphere MQ command is running under is not authorized. This may be caused by a failure to query the user details from the Operating System or by the length of the username exceeding the 12 character maximum length required by WebSphere MQ. |
But I am member of mqm and Administrator group.
When I try to create queue manager it throws:
AMQ8101: WebSphere MQ error (80F) has occurred.
Need some help! |

Did you reboot after installation and adding yourself to the mqm group? _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

It would help if you were more precise in future posts. Please avoid pronouns, like 'it'.

What is/was 'it'? _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.
