I've set up a queue manager and configured it for remote administration. And yet, when I terminal service into the machine (win2k), I get this error:
queue manager not available for connection, make sure it's running & configured for remoted administration.
It is and it is, but... it's not working.
Any suggestions on trouble-shooting this?
thanks,

1.) Had the same problem and it boiled down to how the NT Accounts were set-up within the domain.
2.) use MMC on a different NT server to admin the queue manager.
3.) The other one is you have not set the queue manager as the default queue manager, so you would have to specify its name. Or define an MQSERVER variable.
Hope this helps.

Hi,
You might be running into a known issue with Terminal services and MQseries.
When using Terminal services, it throws up an error saying the Queue manager is not available. You might want to try using some other remote access tool like PCAnywhere |
